Creator’s Comment on the “Designation of Origin Spain North Tour”:
Hello, I’m Rafa Payá!
Years ago, purely for pleasure, I did the famous Camino de Santiago in its northern route on a motorcycle. Part of that experience gave rise to this Designation of Origin Spain North Tour. To give you an idea, during the tour, you’ll be able to savor one of Spain’s richest and most varied cuisines. The routes run between the sea and the mountains, where the land and water come together to create unique roads.
During the journey, you’ll see the mural of Pablo Picasso‘s most famous painting, Guernica. You’ll learn all about the history behind this unique artwork, an irreplaceable classic of 20th-century cubism. You’ll also enjoy a boat ride along the cliffs of the northern coast, where you can see some of the vistas reminiscent of the legendary Game of Thrones series. You’ll have fun canoeing along the course of the Sella River, where one of the world’s most famous canoe races takes place. But don’t worry, we’ll go at a relaxed pace and enjoy the scenery.
The tour includes, among other things, a gastronomic route through the Pasiegos Valleys of Abionzo, visits and stays in Oviedo and Lugo, visits to Pazos, and a seafood feast on a typical Galician mussel platform. Everything culminates with a visit to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, a place of pilgrimage known worldwide and truly impressive.
Throughout the Designation of Origin Spain North Tour, we combine traditional hotels with stays in rural houses. This offers a perfect setting for interacting with your fellow travelers while preserving your privacy, making it an ideal journey to enjoy as a couple.
See you on the road!
