  • Always show up for the rides wearing long pants and closed shoes, preferably boots. Flip-flops and sneakers? Not your best choice.

After a tranquil morning in Chaouen, savor a hearty breakfast and prepare for a day that takes you deep into the layers of Moroccan history. The journey from the serene blue alleys of Chaouen to the vibrant spiritual heart of Fez will be one of contrasts, weaving through ancient ruins, imperial grandeur, and cultural richness.

Your first stop is the remarkable Roman city of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that stands as a testament to the region’s diverse past. Wander through the well-preserved ruins, where mosaics depicting Roman gods and myths still gleam under the Moroccan sun. Imagine the bustling life of this ancient city as you walk its decumanus maximus, with views of olive groves and rolling hills that stretch to the horizon.

Visit the towering Bab Mansour, an intricately decorated gate that guards the entrance to the medina, and stroll through the bustling El Hedim Square, where the rhythm of daily life pulses with energy.

As the sun begins to set, you’ll arrive in Fez, the spiritual and cultural heartbeat of Morocco. This city, often called the "Athens of Africa", exudes an air of timelessness. Rest for the night in the charming Riad Almakan, an oasis of tranquility in the midst of Fez’s bustling energy. Let the intricate Moroccan décor and the soothing sounds of the city lull you into a well-deserved sleep, ready to uncover more wonders in the days ahead.

Day 5: Full Day in Fez – The Medina Uncovered.
Today, immerse yourself in the soul of Fez, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco.
A guided tour will lead you through the ancient city’s labyrinthine medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where time seems to stand still. Prepare for a sensory overload as you step into one of the largest and oldest living medieval cities in the world.
Begin your exploration at the magnificent 14th-century royal palace, with its imposing golden gates and serene gardens, a glimpse into Morocco’s regal heritage. Adjacent to it lies the Mellah, the Jewish quarter of Fez, where you’ll uncover stories of coexistence and history as you wander its unique balconies and winding streets.

Next, visit the bustling pottery district, where skilled artisans mold clay into stunning mosaics, plates, and tiles that adorn Morocco’s palaces and mosques. Witness the delicate balance of tradition and artistry, a craft passed down through generations.

Dive deeper into history as you enter the 9th-century medina. Here lies the Al Quaraouiyine University, the oldest continuously operating university in the world, founded by a visionary woman, Fatima al-Fihri. Marvel at its exquisite architecture, a testament to centuries of learning and enlightenment.

From there, head to the famed Chouara Tanneries, where leather goods are dyed in vibrant colors using age-old techniques. Watch as workers skillfully navigate the honeycomb vats, a tradition unchanged for centuries. Breathe in the medina’s energy as you wander through the lively Najjarine Square, home to an intricate wooden fountain, and the bustling Saffarin Square, a hub of metalworking artisans.

Fez is a city that speaks to every sense, from the sounds of craftsmen at work to the aroma of spices wafting through the air and the kaleidoscope of colors in its souks. Every alley holds a story, every corner a discovery.

End your day in a traditional Riad, an oasis of calm amidst the medina’s vibrant chaos. Enjoy the serene ambiance, intricate tilework, and warm Moroccan hospitality as you reflect on a day rich in history and culture. Prepare for an epic journey that takes you from the lush landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains to the mesmerizing sands of the Sahara Desert. Today’s ride will be a feast for the senses, showcasing the incredible diversity of Morocco’s terrain and offering moments of wonder at every turn.

The first stretch leads you to Ifrane, a town so pristine and unique that it’s affectionately called “Little Switzerland”. With its European-style chalets, manicured parks, and cool mountain air, it’s a surprising contrast to Morocco’s traditional image. Pause here to admire the famous Lion Statue, carved by a German prisoner during World War II, and breathe in the crisp alpine atmosphere.

Continue through the lush cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, home to playful Barbary macaques. A brief stop allows you to marvel at these curious primates as they frolic among the ancient trees. The road winds through landscapes of rugged beauty, revealing sweeping valleys and dramatic mountain vistas.

As you descend towards the desert, pass through Midelt, a bustling market town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas ranges. Known for its mineral wealth and apple orchards, it’s a great place to refuel and perhaps taste some fresh local produce.

The scenery transforms as you near the edge of the Sahara. The towering dunes of Erg Chebbi rise like golden waves, welcoming you to the Merzouga Desert, one of Morocco’s most iconic destinations. Arrive just in time to witness a breathtaking Saharan sunset, where the sands glow in hues of gold and amber as the day fades into night.

Your adventure deepens with a camel trek across the dunes. Feel the rhythm of the desert as you sway gently on your camel’s back, the silence broken only by the whispers of the wind. The journey leads you into the Luxury Desert Camp, where the warmth of traditional Berber hospitality awaits.

As night falls, enjoy a sumptuous Moroccan dinner under a blanket of stars, accompanied by the hypnotic sounds of Berber drums and songs. The vastness of the desert sky, alight with countless stars, will leave you in awe. Retreat to your comfortable tent for a night of rest, knowing you’ve just experienced a chapter of adventure you’ll never forget.

Day 7: Merzouga to Ouarzazate – The Road of Gorges and Valleys. [403 Kilometers / 251 Miles]
After an unforgettable night under the stars in the heart of the Sahara, the road beckons you onward, carving through some of Morocco’s most breathtaking landscapes. Today’s journey takes you from the vast dunes of Merzouga to the cinematic oasis city of Ouarzazate, along a route that offers a blend of natural drama and serene beauty.

Leaving the desert behind, ride through a landscape that shifts from arid expanses to lush green valleys as you make your way to the Todra Gorge. This natural marvel, with its towering limestone cliffs that reach heights of up to 300 meters (985 feet), is a climber’s paradise and a source of awe for all who visit. Walk along the clear, cool river that snakes through the gorge and feel dwarfed by the sheer scale of the surrounding walls.

Continue your journey through the Dades Valley, often called the "Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs". The road meanders through a dreamscape of rose-colored cliffs and rocky outcrops, offering views that seem almost otherworldly. Be sure to stop at one of the many viewpoints to take in the valley's grandeur, where ancient kasbahs perch atop hills like sentinels of the past.

Further along, ride past the lush Skoura Oasis, a verdant haven of palm groves and small villages. Known as the "Gateway to the Desert," Skoura is home to some of the most iconic kasbahs in Morocco, including the Kasbah Amridil, a stunning example of traditional Moroccan architecture.

As the sun dips lower, arrive in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco”. This city has served as the backdrop for countless films and series, from Gladiator to Game of Thrones. Spend the evening unwinding at your half-board accommodation, where a delicious Moroccan dinner awaits. Reflect on a day filled with awe-inspiring scenery and moments that define the spirit of adventure.
Rest this amazing day into the charming Riad Bochaddou where your dreams of luxury will come true.

Tomorrow, the journey continues deeper into Morocco’s cultural and natural wonders. Rest well—there’s more to discover.

Day 8: Ouarzazate to Marrakech – The Red City Awaits. [212 Kilometers / 132 Miles]

This day is a journey from cinematic landscapes to the pulsating heart of Morocco, as you leave the tranquility of Ouarzazate and ride towards the vibrant city of Marrakech. The route promises a thrilling mix of historical landmarks and stunning natural vistas as you traverse the mighty High Atlas Mountains.

Start your adventure with a visit to Ait Benhaddou, a striking UNESCO World Heritage Site that seems frozen in time. This ancient ksar, with its maze of earthen buildings, has stood for centuries as a testament to Morocco’s rich architectural heritage. Its dramatic silhouette has made it a favorite filming location for iconic movies like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. Wander through the winding alleys, and imagine life in this fortified village during its prime.

The road climbs higher into the High Atlas, with the legendary Tizi n'Tichka Pass awaiting you. At an elevation of 2,260 meters (7,410 feet), this winding mountain road offers breathtaking views of rugged peaks and lush valleys. Each twist and turn reveals a new perspective, making this one of the most scenic rides in Morocco. Be sure to stop at one of the viewpoints to capture the beauty of the surrounding landscapes.

As you descend from the mountains, the plains of Marrakech unfold before you, heralding your arrival in the Red City. Once settled, embark on a guided tour of the city’s historic medina, a sensory overload of sights, sounds, and scents. Begin at the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where snake charmers, storytellers, and food vendors create an electric atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the world.

Visit the majestic Koutoubia Mosque, whose soaring minaret dominates the city’s skyline and serves as a symbol of Marrakech. Then, step into the serene Bahia Palace, a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture with its intricate mosaics, tranquil courtyards, and opulent design that evokes the grandeur of a bygone era.

As the day winds down, immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of Marrakech or retreat to the comfort of the Riad dar Silsila , where you can relax and reflect on the incredible journey that has brought you here. With breakfast included, you’ll be ready for the adventures that await on your final day in this enchanting land.

Day 9: Departure – Memories to Last a Lifetime.

The morning sun bathes Marrakech in a warm, golden light as you savor your final breakfast in the vibrant city where your journey began. The aromas of fresh mint tea, honey-drenched msemen, and other delights of Moroccan cuisine create a moment to reflect on the adventure that has come full circle.

With the day ahead, take the opportunity to revisit the places that captured your imagination. Wander through the bustling alleys of the Medina, where the rich scents of spices and leather mingle with the vibrant colors of handwoven rugs and intricate lanterns. Perhaps you’ll stop by Jemaa el-Fnaa, the iconic square that pulses with life at all hours, now offering a quieter charm in the morning.

If time allows, return to the Majorelle Garden, an oasis of tranquility where the vibrant blues and lush greenery create a stunning contrast to the city’s energetic pace. Or take a contemplative stroll through the Koutoubia Mosque gardens, where the iconic minaret watches over the city as it has for centuries.

For a final taste of the road, consider a short ride through the nearby Palmeraie, the vast palm grove on Marrakech’s edge, where the desert landscape whispers of the open horizons you’ve conquered during your journey.

As your adventure concludes, you’ll return your trusted motorcycle, a steadfast companion through mountains, deserts, and bustling cities. Take a deep breath and soak in the satisfaction of a journey well-ridden. Before your transfer to the airport, there’s time to reflect on the laughter, camaraderie, and breathtaking moments that defined your days in Morocco.

Summing up 45 years of motorcycling experience is no easy task, but here’s a brief profile: I spent 14 years as a journalist in the world of motors, testing the latest motorcycles from all brands, directing and instructing driving courses, and instructing driving for the Civil Guard and other law enforcement agencies. I’ve dedicated half of my life to organizing motorcycling events such as various rallies, organized routes, meetups, and more. I’m an avid motorcycle traveler, having explored almost all of Europe, the United States, South America, Morocco, and beyond. Traveling on a motorcycle isn’t a job; it’s a stroke of luck, a fortune, and a way of life. At this stage in my journey, I’m aware that the world can’t simply be explained; it must be experienced firsthand, and doing so on two wheels is even better. ToroBiker gives me the opportunity to share experiences with friends who join us on our travels because every route is a new adventure to live with each fellow traveler I meet along the way. view more

The passion for motorcycles runs in my DNA, as my entire family has had, enjoyed, and traveled on motorcycles for as long as my grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins can remember. That’s why riding a motorcycle is something natural for me, much more than a luxury or a whim; it’s a way of life and, of course, a way to experience travel. From the very beginning, I’ve been involved in advocating for the rights of bikers at a time when nobody paid attention to us. I gave voice to our demands for years on the first radio program in Spain dedicated exclusively to the world of two wheels, “100% Moto.” I enjoyed being the director and host of the program, and it was during this time that I began organizing trips, weekend routes, and local and national demonstrations. These were the years of motorcycling advocacy. As far back as I can remember, I’ve enjoyed organizing routes for friends, whether for just a day (a ride, lunch, and back home) or longer trips. I’ve always dedicated my efforts to paying attention to every detail of the journey so that those who accompanied me could fully enjoy the experience without worrying about anything other than riding. With this approach to trip organization, I naturally took over the “Route Planning Department” at Toro Biker, something that, for me, is more than a job; it’s a passion. With the clear goal of creating unique experiences that clearly stand out from conventional trips, which I don’t particularly like, we have created this unique space to share our experiences, our way of seeing and feeling motorcycles, and above all, our way of living our travels. For us, hitting the road, staying at a hotel, and moving on the next day is not traveling; it’s almost a waste of time. Toro Biker wants to feel every kilometer of the road, enjoy every landscape, stop to chat with the people who inhabit the places we visit, learn from them, listen to their stories, and share with them, even if only for a short time, their way of life. That, for Toro Biker, is how we turn a trip into a unique experience. This is ultimately the energy that drives us to carry forward this project: Toro Biker. Bike is life. view more
